The Illustrated Self - Roughs and media tests

After doing some roughs for the idea based on the 10 rules from the PPP sessions, I quickly did these drawing with a dry brush and ink. I like the textures created with this technique but the blurry effect doesn't suit most of the images. I think I may use this technique to add to a drawing where appropriate but not for the entire image.

Because these images were just black and white, I thought about how I could add colour. I am considering using found papers as backgrounds - I could mute the strength of the colour and detail on photoshop and overlay my drawings on top.

I realised that this is a bit similar to what I did for my summer brief because I used found pieces of paper to add colour in certain aspects but these were done by hand collage, not digitally, which meant I had more restrictions.

Another option would be for me to combine my ink drawings with my own photography.
