Website Domain Name

I finally bought a domain name hooray! I bought naomi-smith.com. Why?

• It is easy to say and it is easily remembered. 
• I have room for manoeuvre if I want to use the word illustrator/designer/creative as my identity, I won't have to change my domain because my name will stay the same. 
• I was lucky to get this as so many 'Smith' related names are already taken. 

So I now have a website I have built with Wordpress and a Wordpress domain name and now I have this new domain name which I need to attach to this website. After a long time of playing around with re-driects and other confusing things and not getting anywhere I decided to seek help. 

I didn't think I was this bad with technology but apparently I am because today I spent half an hour on the phone to a friendly Irish man from technical support at GoDaddy trying to figure out how to transfer this domain I had bought over to my Wordpress website. Luckily it all got sorted in the end and I now have a bit better idea of how this kind of stuff works. My website now appears under my new domain, but if anyone still types in my original Wordpress domain they will be redirected to the same page which works perfectly!
