This was a posted on Facebook by someone I didn't know, but it was passed on to me by a friend. I messaged for more details and found out a bit about the brief. The exhibition theme is really open, she just specified nothing too violent as the aim of the event is to support a charity that helps victims of domestic abuse.
I decided to take forward one of my ink sketches and propose an A4 print of a selection of Scandinavian houses and furniture pieces. This fits in with my current work for my FMP so I don't feel like I am taking on something totally new by taking part in this. Although I don't think the name of the exhibition 'Framework' is a theme for the exhibited pieces, I feel like this kind of image would be appropriate if it was anyway.
I have agreed to have the print completed and framed by Friday 28th April, the launch night is the 11th May. Hopefully this will be another good chance to get my work seen and hopefully sell some prints. I'm trying to keep my eyes peeled for any other opportunities similar to this, especially over the summer months.
